Kata Palm Resort & Spa We stayed at the resort for 3 nights from 14-17 Jul 2010. The rooms were spacious and the view from the room balcony was beautiful with a mountain view and lots of greenery. Our rooms were on the highest floor at the 4th level. We were not told whether there was a lift to the top floor but since we were still fit enough to climb the stairs, we did not bother to ask. However, if we were 10 years older(most of us are in our 50 s), I reckon it would be a problem. Although the rooms were generally clean, the toilet was not. The toilet seat was stained (maybe by some corrosive detergent) and the shower screen was mouldy and smelly. Surrounding the resort, are some nice shops and restaurants. In fact, we felt that staying at Kata Beach is better compared to say, Patong Beach, as it was less crowded, less sleazy and it offered better dining options. Kata Beach was beautiful, the waves were mesmerizing although it was not a good time to go swimming as it was the monsoon season. Overall, we enjoyed our trip to Phuket, especially the day trip to Phangnga Bay which offered some of Phuket s most beautiful natural scenery. |

Kata Palm Resort & Spa Very nice resort in good location. Deluxe pool view was a big room, perfect for 3 person because the big sofa with curtain. Also spacious bathroom with bath tube. Very big pools in a beautiful garden. Good breakfast. Just the free wireless internet in the room is poor, can use only early in the morning or late in the evening really. So value for money! |

Kata Palm Resort & Spa We had stayed there for 10 days and without any problems at all. Besides, we got really been taken care of when we first noticed that the room was a bit smelly. Staff came to put air cleaner machine and things got better. We enjoyed everything at the hotel and with great location, was very easy to the beach , restaurants and services. I would come back again next time. |

Kata Palm Resort & Spa the room are nice with antique Thai style, however with lot of mosquitos.We book a delucxe pool view room but become jungle view room because the trees surrounding the swimming pool are too high. The receptionist are helpful but the breakfast section staff services are too bad especially the chef which cook the eggs with bad attitude. I would definitely not come back to this hotel again. |

Kata Palm Resort & Spa No problem with hotel - been there before and as good as always. Only problem that I had was from some guests leaving towels on the sunbeds (most of them) at 5/6 in the morning and keeping them for the day regardless of whether they were on them on not - zey know who zey are. I was fortunate to have pool access so it did nt bother me - the practice of it bothers me. |

Kata Palm Resort & Spa Great resort and fantastic staff and could not fault the room. A great place to stay and had everything there in the resort and nearby. The beach is a few minutes walk away but the resort has a lovely pool and there was no need to venture out. Would absolutely stay there again. The only thing I would have liked to see was the safe in the wardrobe to be moved up to a higher shelf and a light there at it is situated in a very bad lighting area. |

Kata Palm Resort & Spa The pool access room is excellent,pool is great, my whole family 11 peole(both elderly and children)love the pool so much, most of the time we enjoy ourselves at the pool. The restaurant and pool side cafe served good food, reasonable prices with excellent service. Only the reception ladies not so friendly. The rest of the staff are friendly, always smile. Thanks for the wonderfull memories, we will be back again whenever we visit Kata. |
Check in and out were swift, no problem at all. The room rate is low compare to other website. Whenever we have any queries they will reply us through email promptly. Thanks sawadee, i will use sawadee.com again whenever we travel to Thailand. |

Kata Palm Resort & Spa We had a pleasant stay. The check in was done very smoothly. The staff friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice. They even had regular fogging cos of the monsoon season. Location wise, it was convenient. The beautiful Kata beach was within walking distance though the hotel provides shuttle service daily. Food and shopping for touristy stuff were easy around the area. For the benefit of muslim travellers, Halal food was not easily available in Kata. We were told for Rawai, Kamala and Phuket town would be a better choice. |

Kata Palm Resort & Spa The Kata palm resort was like paradise. We stayed in the deluxe pool access room which was huge, fitted with a gorgeous four poster bed and massive day bed. The bathroom was gorgeous too with a bath, and shower and complimentary toiletries. the airconditioning was pumping the whole time we were there and it was a huge relief to come back to a cool room after a humid day at the beach. But the best part of the room had to be the pool access from the balcony of this room. Perfect to wake and and go for a dip in the pool, or swim straight up to the pool bar for happy hour and a half in the afternoon. the cocktails are delicious! Also no need to fight for a deck chair at this room since there were 2 exclusively for us on the balcony. Breakfast had an excellent variety and was constantly topped up. The fresh omellettes and waffles were a nice touch. The service from the hotel team was always with a smile and the staff were always very helpful. In summary i cannot fault this hotel for anything. My partner and i were extremely happy with everything and would definitely stay again. I would recommend this resort to my family and friends. |

Kata Palm Resort & Spa It was a beautiful place, service, breakfast perfect, excellent value for money and I received an upgrade as I had booked a twin room for my mother and I, they gave us a king size bed and I asked if we could have a room with 2 beds. The next moring we were given a beautiful deluxe room with 2 beds and a couch and a beautiful bathroom. I would stay again and am taking Mum and Dad back next year. My mother who is 73 adhored the place it was great to see her have so much fun and have her firdt thai experience a good one |

Kata Palm Resort & Spa Wonderful hotel !! High value for money! We were upgraded from Superior to Deluxe, meaning that we paid 1,200 baht for a very big, nice, comfortable, luxury and exceptionally clean room facing the beautiful swimmingpool! From outside, the pool access rooms looked very nice and we would consider booking one of those next time. Staff was nice and professional, no complaints. Breakfast was very good, above average. The location ok - 5 minutes to the beach, everything else in walking distance. Spa is expensive, but Thai massage at the pool offered at acceptable rates. We would definately choose to stay at Kata Palm Resort again! |

Kata Palm Resort & Spa Great Hotel. We upgraded to a pool access room which was fantastic, right next to the pool bar. Breakfast was excellent, just about anything you want plus more. Services and staff were very nice and very helpful. I would stay at this hotel again. Very close to everything market next door. Decor in the rooms were beautiful. Not just a hotel room. |

Kata Palm Resort & Spa On our annual trip to my wife’s homecountry we wanted to take my Thai in-laws along with us to the south so that they could enjoy some more time with us and our 7 year old son (… and allowing me some spare time to play golf…). The selection of Kata Palm on behalf of the awailable web-infos proved to be a perfect choice and the whole booking process through Sawasdee was smooth as always. We stayed there for a week in the end of September in 2 superior rooms with connecting door, located on the ground floor with direct access into the garden and pool area. In our case this was a much better choice than the deluxe pool access rooms, in which we probably would not have seen our boy being dry any time at all! We can strongly recommend Kata Palm for a family holiday, rooms, infrastructure, breakfast buffet, servicelevel and friendlyness were excellent. The location is also very convenient with plenty of restaurants close by, the beach is either reached in 5-10 minutes walking or with the free hotel shuttle that takes you straight to the beach section with chairs and umbrellas reserved for Kata Palm guests. The only negative aspects we experienced during our stay were the high and dangerous surf at Kata (red flags = no swimming, which is typical for this season) plus the hectic and noise (…) when we found ourselves in the middle of a chinese group tour during breakfast one day, but the pool area in the hotel is a great alternative and having breakfast a bit later was a simple solution as well. Kata Palm will be our first consideration whenever we will travel to Phuket again in the future! |
