Pattaya Beach is situated on the eastern coast of Gulf of Thailand in Chonburi province and is approximately 140 kilometers away from Bangkok.
Pattaya City is a pleasant tourist place fully equipped with all facilities ready to serve all traveler's requiremet such as Pattaya hotels and resorts, restaurants and nightlife recreations as well as various kinds of water sports available for your preferences. This famous beach city is divided into four zones with four different atmospheres depending on what kind of leisure you would like to have.
Starting from The North Pattaya, you will find some traces of Pattaya in the past while wandering along the streets. An air of an ancient village is illustrated by old wooden houses, narrow streets, fishing boats and little shops selling handicrafts and domestic goods, which is totally from the beachfront promenade side along the shore which is fully occupied by leading resorts, hotels and restaurants. Comparing with the North, the Central Pattaya showcases smaller beer-bars or open-air bars, tailor shops. Two major shopping malls of this city like Mike's Palace and Royal Garden Plaza are also located in this area.
Next is the South Pattaya where diversity of Pattaya is presented right before your very eyes. This zone is a pedestrian area allowing visitors to have a real touch of Pattaya and they could look for whatever needs they may have among several little shops, bars, restaurants and nightclubs endlessly scattered along this lively walking street.
And lastly, Pattaya Jomthien Beach, which is separated from the rest by a hill so it is a convenient place for those who really want to relax peacefully and those who love water sports, this area would be a haven for them, may it be scooters, windsurfing, or even daring the banana boat rides.
