Lanta Island is situated in Krabi province. Lanta island consists of several islands and each of them is famous for tis distinctive quality. For example, " Ko Lanta Yai" is well known for its fine white sandy beach on the back side."Ko Ngai" "Ko Hah" are best for shallow water coral viewing."Ko Rok Nai" and "Ko Rok Nok" beaches are blanketed with white clear sand. Covering a total area of 152 square kilometres, Lanta island National Park is located in Amphoe Lanta island and consists of many islands. Many choices are offered for your preference. If you prefer to have some en route view, then drive to Krabi. But if discouraged by the distance, buses at Southem Bus terminal (Sai Tai mai) are ready for your departure everyday. Trains from Hua Lampong railway station are also interesting but has a connection at Trang province or at Thung Song station of Nakorn Sri Thammarat. Daily flights to Krabi are also available.
